About BloodHound
Welcome to BloodHound! A new way to help monitor your Type 1 Diabetes!
As a Type 1 Diabetic looking for a way to help montior my overall diabetes, I found the market lacking.
I decided that we needed a new, streamlined application to make it easy to notice trends.
BloodHound allows you to store information about every aspect of your diabetic control. Its split into two sections:
Set Up
First, once you have created an account, you have to set up your details, to ensure that you have the best user
experience you can have! You need to enter the following details:
- If you use a pump or injections
- If you monitor your glucose levels in mmol/L or md/dL
- Your 'safety zones' for the graph
The safety zones are displayed on your graph making it easy to see how often you are staying in between the
glucose levels you provide
Readings
When you add a 'Reading'' you must enter your glucose levels. You can also add the amount of carbs you ate,
the amount of insulin you gave (and if you are on shots if it was long acting or short acting), and a note.
A key feature of BloodHound is
Events. You can create custom events that you tag a reading with!
This is especially helpful if you want to see the impact different things have on your diabetes! You have complete control
over these and can filter your graph to see the impact. When you filter by event, you will be able to swipe through
a carousel of your graphs, where you are presented with any readings 3 hours before and after the tagged reading!
View Your Readings
On the home screen of the app you can quickly glance at the past 12 hours of inputted readings. Under the graph is a table
that displays your readings - click on the reading and a pop up will show you all the details of that reading!
Under "View Your Readings"" you can filter your graph by date or event!
Sites
Whether you are on a pump, cgm or libre, you can add when you put a new site! Not only do you put down which 'type'' of site
it is, but also where you put it on your body! You can then view a table of past sites and can easily notice that maybe you aren't
rotating enough!
